My television career began on March 5.3.1995th, XNUMX – as the first woman in Austria I wrote television weather history in a male domain.

In my studies, I took very different paths: on the one hand, science was very important to me, on the other hand, the philosophical/theological angle. I studied geography and economics, as well as cath. completed theology.

It all started as an AHS teacher in Vienna. In addition, scientific work at the Institute for Speleology (karst and cave research). In between, the management of numerous further training events for AHS teachers.

Then there was still my dissertation study: geography with a focus on geochemistry and geophysics. As a climatologist and hydrogeologist, she repeatedly works scientifically as a freelancer.

In the meantime in the management team of the Vienna International Future Conference.

Then in 1994 the big turning point in my life: creative editor in the ORF weather department, from 1995 also moderator of the ZIB - weather, as well as moderators in the most diverse program formats. In 2017, the big "Austrian Climate Protection Prize" was added. Since 2020 moderation of "Universum Spezial" as a scientific rounding off of the "Mother Earth" focal points.

I've been in the media business for decades: moderation of numerous events on a wide variety of topics, as well as lectures with a focus on "environment-nature-well-being" round off my professional spectrum and make it very exciting.

I am also interested in forward-looking projects that will be regularly presented on my social media platform from now on. Together with experts I would like to shed light on old and new knowledge in the areas of society, environment, energy, mobility and living and show new ways for the future. To be a part of these changes, you just have to do it.

Gerald Fleischhacker

It all started for him with the radio. For almost 20 years, Gerald Fleischhacker was on air as a moderator, at Antenne Steiermark as well as at Radio Vienna and at Hitradio Ö3.

At the same time, Gerald Fleischhacker has been working for various TV stations for many years: on the one hand, in front of the camera as a presenter of hit shows, such as the monthly satirical format "Die Round Table on ORF III, the satirical annual review "Schloss mit merry!" in ORF 1 or the revealing comedy "Bist Du Deppert!" on PULS 4. But Gerald Fleischhacker is also responsible for many formats behind the camera. He does this in different capacities. Sometimes as a screenwriter, director or conceptionist for all broadcasters in the world, and all around 🙂

Thomas Brezina and his dog Joppy

Thomas began writing stories and working as a puppeteer while still at school. In 1990 he had his breakthrough with The Knickerbocker Gang. Three years later, "Tom Turbo" was born - a TV and book series. Since 2008, Thomas Brezina has been responsible for "okidoki", the children's program of the ORF. A few years ago, Thomas discovered social media for himself and inspires his grown-up fans on TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. This inspires him to write both novels and guidebooks for adults since 2017. In addition to many other prizes, Thomas Brezina was awarded the "Romy" and is the recipient of the "Golden Medal of Merit of the Republic of Austria". He currently lives in Vienna and London with his partner Ivo and their dog Joppy.

Maggie Entenfellner 

She hosted the weekly from 2007 to 2012 ORF-animal magazine animal love, originally broadcast as a follow-up to "Who wants me?" from Edith Klinger was planned and was discontinued in 2012. She has hosted the show since 2013 Back to nature, which is broadcast on Sunday afternoons. 

Entenfellner worked for ten years as a flight attendant at the airline Lauda Air, before being the publisher and editor-in-chief of the Krone Zeitung, Hans Dichand, in 1999 as a staff member in the animal section of the mass newspaper. Maggie Entenfellner is the founder of the association "Friends of the Animal Corner" and author of several non-fiction books. Helmut Pechlaner (born in Innsbruck) has a doctorate in veterinary medicine and was director of Schönbrunn Zoo from 1992 until his retirement in 2007. After military service, he began studying veterinary medicine in 1966 and received his doctorate in 1972. From 1972 to 1979 he was deputy director of the Alpenzoo in Innsbruck and then until 1991 its scientific and executive director. On January 1, 1992, he took over the management of Schönbrunn Zoo.

In 2003, the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna awarded him an honorary professorship for zoo animal husbandry.

Gery Seidl

Gery Seidl grew up in Höflein on the Danube. He graduated from the HTL-Hochbau and also worked in the construction industry for the time being and only later switched to acting. He also took lessons from the actor and cabaret artist Herwig Seeböck until he finally gave up his regular job to continue working as an actor, cabaret artist and – as he says – “optimist”. In 2003 Seidl produced the duo program together with the cabaret artist Gerhard Walter Why Richard III?, 2005 followed taximeter runs. For this he received the Austrian Cabaret Prize Karl 2005. In 2008 Seidl performed his first solo cabaret for which he was awarded the Austrian Cabaret Prize 2008. Gery Seidl is also active as a musician. His versatility distinguishes him to this day. Georg Mayrhofer – The Wiesnschurli

Georg Mayrhofer, born and living in Klosterneuburg, discovered the Oktoberfest for himself in 1983 and has been a very special Oktoberfest fan ever since. Married to his Claudia for 37 years - two children (daughter Sophie and son Florian) - since 2021 enthusiastic grandfather of grandson Cari.
Professionally, he has been the managing partner of Deta GmbH since 1985 and has been a sworn and court-certified expert since 2001. Social commitment has always been important to Georg Mayrhofer, so he was an altar boy for 8 years, boy scouts for 10 years and a rescue driver and paramedic for the Red Cross in Klosterneuburg for 23 years.
